It's Springtime and Time for Spring Cleaning!

March 22nd, 2022

Spring Equinox was Sunday, March 20th!.  That means that the Sun has officially passed the equator and is headed north!  Spring is often the time for renewal so here are a few ways that you can make sure your oral health is back on track:

-Spring and summer breaks are great time for children's dental appointments.  Whether it be for routine care, orthodontics or dealing with pesky wisdom teeth, getting these needs taken care of when it is convenient means less time having to miss school!

-Remember to asses your toothbrush for worn or frayed bristles. Most toothbrushes are ready for replacement after 6 month.  A new season is a great time for a swap!

-Spring and summer normally mean more time outside with friends and family.  Now is a great time to assess your smile and make sure that your teeth are clean and white before summer!  We can help with any smile enhancements that may be needed!

St. Patrick and the Legend of the "Tooth Accident"

March 16th, 2022

The Fiacail Phadhraig

Legend has it that St. Patrick, after traveling from a treacherous storm came across refuge provided by Bishop Brón who was believed to be a disciple of St. Patrick himself. While making his way across the damp terrain, St. Patrick allegedly fell and knocked out his tooth.

In a unusual twist, instead of discarding the tooth, the saint gave it to his friend the bishop who took it and used it as a foundation of the church’s emotional beginning;

People believe a that few centuries later a local lord saw it fit to enclose the tooth in a casket of gold called the Fiacail Phádraig, which was later passed around from village to villiage in the area.
